Armacel's space aged composite material is based on the technology developed for the Space Station Freedom and military armor utilized on the Sikorsky’s UH-60 Black Hawk helicopter.  This has translated into armor utilized in areas from body, vehicle and aircraft applications.

Armacel is blended from a unique mixture of components which is formed and molded to meet a wide variety of applications.  It is lightweight and flexible, which affords a degree of comfort never before experienced by wearers of body armor. Furthermore, it is manufactured with the same rigid quality control standards used for aerospace and military contracts.

In addition, Armacel's material is resistant to ultraviolet rays and typical household chemicals, and will not absorb water, which could be useful for marine applications.
